Product Description Elmo's World comes to life for your child with this adorable, interactive cell phone featuring moving eyes and an animated lenticular screen. Choose from two fun play modes. In Mode 1, Elmo identifies the numbers you press. In Mode 2, Elmo identifies popular icons from the show and makes silly sound effects. Flip the phone open and watch the phone's googly eyelids open. When playtime is over, flip the phone shut it and hear Elmo say, "Goodbye" as the cell phone closes its eyelids. Requires 2 "AA" alkaline batteries (included).

Stick to the age recommendations December 1, 2008 We got this as a gift for our little girl, who loves cell phones. She likes this toy, but she was too young when she got it. She was in a teething phase and has eaten the Elmo sticker off the front and made teeth marks in the antenna. She still likes it. I did not experience any of the volume problems described in the other reviews, but was glad to see there's an "off" switch, which my 8 month old has not yet discovered.
Great for kids who like Elmo August 13, 2008 I got this for my kids when they were about 9 months old and they both liked it so much they were constantly wanting to play with it, of course, many times at the same time. They especially like the fact the the eyes opened and closed with the phone. They are 2 now and still play with the phone.
Elmos world talking cell phone. You can raise the volume.. December 2, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this phone for my daughter and she loved it before I pulled out the tab for the volume. At first I thought it was broken until I read the directions. But there is a solution if you want to turn the volume back up. Just put a small piece of cardboard into the slot (make sure to cut it off at the end so it doesnt stick out) and it works! Just thought I would share it other moms who were also disapointed with the volume issue.

My Grand Daughter simply LOVES this phone! Her eyes just light up when she opened it on Christmas morning. She walks around all day talking to Elmo. This was a GREAT gift!
Great toy once you can hear it November 7, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I had seen this toy before and forgot once I bought it for my son how quiet it was out of the package. What a disappointment! I would encourage you to buy it, just "fix" it once you get it if you want to actually hear it. I took a plastic tab you use to label hanging files and cut it to fit in the hole that made it loud while it was in the box (on the top back of the phone)and it makes it loud again. Of course, there is a safety factor to make sure whatever you put in doesn't come out because it's small. And there's also the fact that now it's loud but if I find it to be too loud I'll just take it apart and put some tape over the speaker.
